Worry, People.

An R.M.P.S Thing

I might have mentioned before that- being a lovely, conscientious student ;) - I hop along to Amnesty International in Mrs Montgomery's R.M.P.S. classroom on Thursday lunchtimes. Anyhoo, we're reading over an assembly on Human Rights at the moment (watch out first years!) and Matthew was saying his bit, but then when he went to move he tripped and went sprawling, so his speech ended up going something a bit like this;

"I stand for Human Rights!"

*falls down*

Human Rights fail.

New THINGS

I've accumulated quite a lot of new Stuff over the past couple of days. At the selfsame Amnesty meet, Bethie took the opportunity to give me a birthday present (aww thanks =D ), part of which were these 'Worry People'.

From the top down, they are now called Berry, Caramel, Stripe, Mustard and Jelly. So far they have been very accommodating and listen to me complain every night prior to 'Lights Out'.

I definitely have already mentioned the wonderful Craft Fair, which has now sadly left Haddington :'( . However today being the last day of their visit, I seized the opportunity and bought myself a new schoolbag! Having had my current one since halfway through Primary Six, I feel this was well justified- particularly as every single time I go to pick it up, it promptly seizes the opportunity and splits open on me at the zip.
But revenge is sweet, and when I return to the drudgery of early morning starts *shudder*, I shall have one less item to scream at.

New Bag =D (you might have guessed)
It has elephants on it! And is therefore officially everything I ask of a bag.

So it's not really been anyone's month...

Quite relieved to finally have reached August, I think July seriously had it in for us.

First of all, Nuala's (the lovely Irish next-door neighbour) dad died. Then to top that off, whilst they're in Ireland Felix (Nuala's son) breaks his wrist. Then when Sarah, Michael, Belinda and Honor come to visit us, Honor removes her fingertip in a folding chair. About two days after her birthday, Belinda breaks her arm (they did operate) then another two days later Lyovka (the -my- wee brother) breaks -or something similar- his big toe. I must say, what with all the rest of my relations of the same generation wrapped up in various forms of banadage, I've had the distinct feeling that I can only have so much time left.

Came across this whilst reading, I think it's quite brilliant;

Anglophobia- "Fear of England or English culture, etc."

... and to think of all those terrifying English, running around just beyond the border...!
Following this I develope a casual curiosity and investigate further. This is quite an interesting website (from which I nicked the Anglophobia definition, though it's pretty much self-explanitory): The Phobia List
I looked through the list though, and what I find... well not odd, but a bit miffing, is that it doesn't by any means list names for phobias of every country. Are the English in some way particularly scary?

Perhaps it's all that tea...

And I've been doing some further decorating, finally shifting the Lava Lamp in...

So it's useful to have a brother with relatively similar taste in music. Naturally, mine is better. However, thanks to Lyovik, I've come across this;

Emergency Post

To those whom it may concern;

Belinda's had a nasty fall off the 8ft 6inch climbing frame at Fenton Barnes. She's broken her ulna (arm) at a 14 degree angle and has been at the Sick Children's Hospital (Edinburgh) all day. It's borderline whether they operate or not so she's going back for 8 o'clock tomorrow.

HOPE YOU FEEL BETTER SOON!

(P.S. For anyone wanting to wish her well, this is one place to do it.)
